PERN BAAN produces artisan-made furniture and lighting designed between our two homes, New York City and Thailand. Our work draws on the creative exchange between contemporary designers and Thai artisans, bringing traditional craftsmanship into new contexts.
Designed by Office of Tangible Space, the Waii Collection reimagines traditional Thai rattan weaving through contemporary furniture, bringing this centuries-old craft into new forms and contexts.
Richly textured lighting rooted in local Thai materials. Our contemporary sconces in marble, clay and patinated metals add graphic interest to interiors of all styles.
Our products harness the spirit of cultural exchange and a respect for both ancestral and modern craft.
