Perched above our Chiang Mai design studio, Above PERN BAAN is an immersion into the textures, materials, and atmosphere that define our work. This private apartment is set within our restored five-story shophouse in the heart of Old Town, offering guests an intimate connection to contemporary Thai craft and design while placing them steps away from the city’s cultural landmarks.
The Temple View Bedroom
On the fourth floor, natural light spills across a space defined by hand-finished hardwoods, artisan-made lighting, and local furniture produced by our friends Moonler. Wake up to views of Wat Ou Sai Kham Temple across the street.
Everyday Rituals, Elevated
The bathroom combines clean modern lines with warm, tactile finishes — brushed brass fixtures, hand-glazed ceramic basins, and soft lighting that makes even the simplest routines feel like self-care.

A space to pause, read, or simply watch the light shift. The sunroom has a lounge daybed and small breakfast table for two.
A Light-Filled Sanctuary
One flight up, the sunroom is a plant-filled retreat where diffused daylight filters through pearl-toned roofing. Our favorite place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or lounge in the late afternoon, it's filled with lush greenery, curated Thai craft objects, and locally made terraccota tile.
Objects sourced from artisan workshops across Thailand.
