Perched above our Chiang Mai design studio, Above PERN BAAN is an immersion into the textures, materials, and atmosphere that define our work. This private apartment is set within our restored five-story shophouse in the heart of Old Town, offering guests an intimate connection to contemporary Thai craft and design while placing them steps away from the city’s cultural landmarks.

STK Beaded Sconce
The STK Beaded Sconce casts a warm, earthy glow through its hand-shaped terracotta beads by Chiang Mai artist Supthongkhum Sr Studio, creating a soft veil of texture that brings a calm, sculptural presence to the space.
The Artisan’s Bedroom
On the third floor, the bedroom is brightened by a handcrafted tile mirror, our signature STK Beaded Sconce, and a Ban Pa Ao Double Bubble Lamp. A bamboo closet adds natural warmth, while a lush green plant anchors the space with a touch of life and ease.
3rd Floor Bathroom
The bathroom is anchored by a sink carved from our signature Chocolate marble, illuminated by a pair of Ban Pa Ao mini sconces. Handmade tiles line the walls, their subtle texture harmonizing with the warm glow of the lighting — a space where simple moments are framed by thoughtful detail.

A Light-Filled Sanctuary
One flight up, the sunroom is a plant-filled retreat where diffused daylight filters through pearl-toned roofing. Our favorite place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or lounge in the late afternoon, it's filled with lush greenery, curated Thai craft objects, and locally made terraccota tile.
Objects sourced from artisan workshops across Thailand.
