DIN (ดิน — Thai for “clay”) draws from Chris' signature fluted forms, translated through local ceramic techniques including slip casting and hand-applied glazing. Each piece is hand-finished, with subtle variations in glaze and tone emerging naturally through the firing process.
Departing from Merchant’s typically extruded forms, the DIN Side Table features a fluid, flared silhouette that opens upward like a flower in bloom. Its sculptural profile and glazed ceramic surface give each piece a distinct character.
Because each piece is handmade and kiln-fired, slight variations in glaze, texture, and tone are part of the character of the work.
