This sculptural brass mini sconce is part of a design collaboration between Robert Sukrachand and the Ban Pa Ao brassware community in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. Each piece is cast entirely by hand using centuries-old techniques, without molds or modern equipment.
The result is a one-of-a-kind lighting object — organic, textured, and deeply expressive. The Rice Husk Blue patina is achieved by burning local rice husks, producing a rich, speckled finish unique to this region and process.

Each light from Ban Pa Ao is crafted by hand, with no use of molds or modern technologies. Your light will have slight variance from the one pictured. The ancient techniques result in beautifully imperfect castings that show the hand of the maker and the natural materials involved in the process.
