*UPDATE* Thank you to everyone who placed orders - we are happy to report that we raised a total of 120,000 Thai Baht (approx. $3,600) which was donated to the organizations below.
Over the weekend Chiang Mai - the small city in northern Thailand that we call home - experienced its worst flooding in over 50 years. We are incredibly lucky and grateful that Pern Baan studio was spared (the flood waters came within 200 meters of our building), but half of the city and thousands of peoples homes and businesses are still under water.
In an effort to raise funds to help our neighbors, we are selling all remaining stock of our Ban Pa Ao accessories with 100% of the sale price to be donated to local organizations who are providing flood relief below:
Thai Red Cross Society The Thai Red Cross is providing first line flood relief assistance in the form of meal kits and drinking water across the Northern region of Thailand
Sati Foundation Sati is a local non-profit dedicated to serving at-risk youth. Sati's fund will provide supplies and support rebuilding efforts for local schools that have been affected by the floods.
Wat Don Chan Orphanage houses, feeds, and teaches over 700 children on the grounds of the temple. The orphanage is located in one of the worst affected areas in Saraphi District. Our donation was used for meals, a scholarship fund, and for buying supplies for cleanup efforts.
Note: if you order bells, these will ship out from our NYC studio within 2 weeks.
If your order includes spoons or incense holders, these will ship mid November. Our founder Robert Sukrachand needs to bring the stock back with him when he returns to NYC in November.
